Timetables for transport services are posted at bus stops and ferry piers.  Alternatively, it is also available to view at DB Timetable.  For extra convenience, Ontime HK is an app which shows live DB bus and ferry times and is also available for download "DB Transport V2"app for free from "Play Store" or " App Store".  All services (except Kai To Services) accept Octopus cards/watches and cash. Octopus watches can be purchased and topped up at the 7-Eleven convenience store opposite the bus station in the Plaza.

Ferries to Central run weekdays every 15-20 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes during non-peak times. The journey takes about 25 minutes.  It is  available at DB Timetable and in the app.  For frequent ferry users, multi-trip passes (T-Card) are available for purchase from ticket offices at both piers.  Children and senior rates differ, click here for information. 

INTER-ISLAND FERRIES

Ferry services are available to and from Peng Chau, Mui Wo (also known as Silvermine Bay) and Trappist Monastery.  Boarding is at the seawall in the DB Service area (on the road to the DB Marina Club).  Timetables for these services are posted on the vessel or click here to view.

BUSES

Internal buses

Shuttle bus services are time co-ordinated with the ferry schedule; they circulate the various residential areas within DB and the Plaza.  Click here to view Bus fares and schedules.

External buses

To and from Hong Kong International Airport, Tung Chung and Sunny Bay MTR Station. Buses operate frequently, with increased frequency during peak hours.  Click here to view Bus fares and schedules.

HIRE CAR

Seven-seat vans are available to hire from within DB as an alternative to the bus service, they are quick and operates from location to location.  You may call to book for a specific time, flag one down or request a City Management staff with a portable radio to call one.  The charge is $20 per person, and between 00:30am and 7:30 is $30. 

In addition, the Hong Kong Resort International has recently installed a wheelchair lift in one of the hire cars to help cater for the special needs of residents and visitors.

VIP SHUTTLE SERVICE

This service operates 24/7 and is an option if you need to reach locations outside DB at an inconvenient time (e.g airport or hospital).  However, the service is frequently in demand therefore it is difficult to book on short-term notice.

TAXIS SERVICE

Urban or Lantau Taxi and coaches are being permitted into DB 24 hours a day.  There are three drop off/pick up points in the North Plaza.  For more information, contact DB Transit Services Ltd. at 2987-7352.

GOLF CARTS

The only form of private residential transport is by golf cart; however the numbers of these are limited. Drivers must have valid HK driving licenses.  Owners are permitted to purchase golf carts subjected to certain restrictions. These, in turn, may be made available to their tenants. Century 21 Newcourt Realty provides a service to assist clients in the purchase of previously owned golf carts and/or the rental thereof.

TYPHOONS

Ferry and bus services are liable to be suspended anytime after a No.3 signal is hoisted.  The tunnel is more likely to remain open than the ferry system.  At home, secure your windows, bring all movable objects indoors and ensure drains and surface channels are clear.
